Dry Brush – Stimulates your lymphatic system. I recommend dry brushing the body before getting into the shower or a hot bath. Begin at the bottom and brush upward.
Tongue Scraping – This indicates the level of toxins your body is accumulating. Take notice of the coating on your tongue. A thicker coating can show that you are taking in more toxins and bacteria from your food and environment. Daily scraping prevents them from building up and being absorbed into your gums and body.
Fermented Foods – Fermented foods aid in digestion and keeping your gut healthy. They are loaded with probiotics and good bacteria that live in your gut. Kimchi, sauerkraut, kombucha and pickles are some examples that you can find in your local market or make at home.
Water – Drink it! That’s the main point. More often than not, we look to medicine or food, because we think our headache needs a pill to cure it or our thirst is a sign of hunger. Next time this happens, drink a few glasses of water and wait and see if symptoms subside.
Movement – Exercise is important for our mind, body and spirit. Do your best to move 30 minutes a day.
Setting intentions – Setting an intention every morning or at the beginning of a month, new moon or whenever it feels right is a wonderful way to start fresh and to put your goals out into the universe.
Organic – Try to eat organic food when possible.
Love and Gratitude – Beginning and ending each day with love and gratitude is hands down a more productive way to start and finish your day.
